Cancun Wedding Photographer

We photograph weddings throughout the Cancun Hotel Zone, Punta Cancun, Punta Nizuc, and nearby Riviera Cancun resort areas. Coverage is available for beachfront resorts, private venues, Catholic chapels, rooftop celebrations, and welcome events. Costa Mujeres and other neighboring destinations have separate location pages with more specific guidance.

Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset is a useful starting point, but the final recommendation depends on the season, ceremony length, and orientation of your venue. Many Cancun beaches face east, so we plan around open shade, reflected light, resort buildings, and the portrait locations available at your property—not sunset time alone.

Each resort establishes its own policy. A property may require an outside-vendor fee, day pass, room reservation, insurance document, or advance approval. Ask your coordinator for the current requirements in writing before signing photography contracts. Once we know the venue, we can help you account for those rules in the photography plan.

Large resorts can require extra time for elevators, golf carts, security checkpoints, and movement between suites, ceremony spaces, beaches, and ballrooms. We review the property layout before the wedding and build realistic transitions into the timeline so portraits do not delay the ceremony or reception.

We identify covered portrait options and coordinate with your planner before the wedding. If conditions change, we can adjust the order of family photographs, couple portraits, details, and candid coverage. The goal is to use the strongest available light without keeping you away from your guests or making the day feel like a photo shoot.
