Natural Moments, Timeless Portraits and Destination Wedding Stories

our Riviera Maya wedding deserves photographs that bring back more than how the day looked—they should remind you how every moment felt.

Since 2006, I have photographed more than 1,000 weddings, combining authentic documentary storytelling with elegant and creative portraiture.

From oceanfront resorts and private villas to tropical gardens, Catholic chapels and crystal-clear cenotes, every celebration is photographed with thoughtful direction, attention to light and an intimate understanding of the Mexican Caribbean.

Natural and Timeless Riviera Maya Wedding Photography

Some of the most meaningful wedding photographs cannot be planned: a parent’s expression during the ceremony, the laughter shared with your closest friends or the way you look at each other when you finally have a quiet moment together.

My approach allows these moments to happen naturally. I document the genuine emotions, important details and spontaneous interactions that tell the complete story of your wedding. When it is time for portraits, I provide relaxed direction so you feel comfortable while creating polished, timeless images inspired by the landscape and light of the Riviera Maya.

More Than 1,000 Weddings Photographed Since 2006

xperience is especially valuable during a destination wedding. Tropical weather, strong sunlight, resort policies and changing timelines can all influence the photography—but they should never distract you from enjoying your celebration.

After photographing weddings for couples from the United States, Canada, Mexico and around the world, I know how to anticipate important moments, work efficiently with wedding coordinators and adapt when the unexpected happens.

My goal is to bring a calm, prepared presence to your wedding while creating a complete visual story you can revisit for generations.

Wedding Photography Across the Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya offers far more than one type of destination wedding. Along this Caribbean coastline, couples can choose between luxury resorts, intimate villas, tropical gardens, traditional chapels, jungle venues and laid-back beach celebrations.

Puerto Morelos and the Northern Riviera Maya

Puerto Morelos offers a quieter coastal atmosphere with beachfront resorts, private venues and easy access from Cancun International Airport. Its relaxed character is ideal for couples who want an intimate destination celebration surrounded by the colors of the Mexican Caribbean.

Farther south, Xpu-Ha, Akumal and Tulum offer a distinctive blend of Caribbean beaches, tropical jungle, private villas and cenotes. These destinations are ideal for couples drawn to natural scenery, boutique venues and celebrations with a more relaxed or bohemian character.

Experience at Riviera Maya Resorts and Wedding Venues

Every resort has its own architecture, beach orientation, ceremony locations and lighting conditions. Knowing how to work within these environments makes it possible to plan more efficiently and use each venue’s strongest photographic features.

My experience throughout the Riviera Maya includes celebrations at properties such as Hotel Xcaret Mexico, Xcaret Park, Grand Velas Riviera Maya, Fairmont Mayakoba, Barceló Maya Grand Resort, Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, Iberostar Paraíso, Grand Palladium and Dreams Tulum.

Whether your wedding takes place at an all-inclusive resort, an elegant chapel, a private villa or a secluded beach venue, I will help you plan the photography around the best available light and locations.

Your Complete Wedding Story

Getting Ready and Wedding Details

Your story begins before the ceremony. I photograph the atmosphere of the morning, your wedding attire, rings, invitations and meaningful personal details, along with the emotions shared with family and friends.

FIRST LOOKS AND PRIVATE MOMENTS

A first look can give you a quiet opportunity to connect before the ceremony. It can also create more flexibility in the timeline and allow some portraits or family photographs to be completed earlier.

Ceremony and Candid Emotions

From the processional and vows to spontaneous reactions from your guests, the ceremony is documented discreetly so that the emotions remain natural and uninterrupted.

Timeless and Creative Wedding Portraits

Portraits combine natural interaction with gentle direction. We use your venue’s beaches, architecture, gardens and tropical scenery to create images that feel elegant without appearing stiff or overly posed.

Reception, Traditions and Celebration

Speeches, first dances, cultural traditions and the energy of the dance floor complete the story. Reception coverage balances the important formalities with the unexpected moments that make every wedding unique.

Riviera Maya Wedding Photography and Videography

Photography preserves individual moments, while film brings back movement, voices and atmosphere. Couples who want both services can choose coordinated photography and videography coverage for a more cohesive experience.

Coverage can include getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, reception traditions, speeches and dancing. Depending on your celebration, additional coverage may also be arranged for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, Hindu wedding events, beach gatherings and farewell celebrations.

Every Celebration Deserves to Be Photographed Authentically

Riviera Maya weddings bring together couples, families, traditions and cultures from around the world. I photograph Catholic and symbolic ceremonies, Indian and Hindu weddings, LGBTQ+ celebrations, intimate elopements and large multiday destination weddings.

The approach is always respectful, inclusive and centered on the people and traditions that make your celebration meaningful.

Planning Your Riviera Maya Wedding Photography

Once you share your date, venue and initial plans, I can recommend the appropriate amount of coverage for your celebration. We will discuss your timeline, important traditions, family photographs and the type of portraits you love.

Before the wedding, I review the schedule and coordinate the photography around the venue, available light and travel between locations. On the wedding day, you will receive guidance when needed while still having the freedom to remain present and enjoy your celebration.

Afterward, your edited photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery where you can download, share and preserve your wedding story.

Many resorts charge a fee, require a day pass or establish other conditions for outside photographers and videographers. Policies and prices vary and can change, so couples should request the current written policy directly from their wedding coordinator before signing photography contracts.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Tropical showers can appear quickly, but they often pass just as fast. I remain flexible and work with your coordinator to adjust the photography schedule when possible. Covered terraces, resort interiors and post-rain light can also provide beautiful alternatives. Besides all situation are a great photo opportunity!

Yes. Photography and videography can be booked together, creating more consistent coverage and simplifying coordination throughout the wedding day.

Yes. Coverage can be customized for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, Hindu ceremonies, sangeets, Catholic ceremonies, wedding receptions and farewell events.
