Isla Mujeres sky perspective documentary photography

Some things should be taken, specially when it is a unique opportunity.

When it is about getting in a plane to photograph an island and It is Isla Mujeres in Mexico, there is no chance to  miss this, I couldn’t say no to my friends plane.

Isla Mujeres is probably the last urbanized island in the Mexican caribbean where you can feel the Mexican taste of a small town.

Now is 2015 and these photographs were back in 2009.

I knew this island when just the main street was pavemented, everything else were sand, I experienced that sensation to walk barefoot, on white sand even inside restaurants.

Probably there are no places like this at least not in the Mexican Caribe.
