Selecting Resort

Here we have listed some of the resort requirements, based in our experience and time of the last wedding  we shot in such place, most of them are within the Riviera Maya, Cancun, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, and some other  in Mexico wedding destinations, we pretend to guide and help all the brides and grooms to know what they need to select a resort an what this resort’s requirements to let the bride and groom bring an outside wedding photographer in the private property and shoot their wedding, this list is  JUST a guidance, and will never replace the hotel policies, please get in touch with your favorite resort and ask about the outside wedding photographer policies and fees, make sure you understand al resort policies before you hire any outside vendor such as Wedding Photographers, DJ’s and lighting, Make up Artists, Cinematographer or videographer.

 

Aldea Tahi

No outside vendor fee, no day pass

 

Aventura Spa Palace

Policies has changed with the past of the time, first outside photographers can come in the private property, then an outside vendor fee was paid.

 

Aventura Cove palace

An outside vendor fee must be paid for a photographer in order to get into the wedding resort.

 

Azul Sensatori Hotel and Azul Beach Hotel, Azul Villa Carola and Azul Fives Hotel

A $500USD fee  or at least 3 nights stay.

 

Live Aqua Hotel A day pass is required for the wedding photographer

 

Barceló Riviera Maya Resort, Barceló Maya Colonial,
 Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe,
 Barceló Maya Caribe,
Barceló Maya Beach,
Barceló Maya Tropical

Barceló resort often change their policies about outside wedding photographers, most recently we are required to be guests of the hotel for at least 2 nights or pay a $300USD to Kodak Photo shop in order to let the wedding photographer come into the private property.

 

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda A day pass is required for and outside wedding photographer.

 

Catalonia Yucatan,
 Catalonia Riviera Maya:

A Day pass is require in order a wedding photographer come into the resort private property.

 

Ceiba Del Mar Beach and Spa Resort There is no fee to enter the resort, but they may require a copy images taken at the hotel.

 

Dreams Los Cabos, Dreams Tulum and Dreams Cancun:

Day passes is needed.

 

Dreams Puerto Aventuras:

A night stay is required for the photographer in order to be allowed in the private property

 

El Dorado Seaside Suites, 
El Dorado Royale:

A outside wedding photographer  vendor fee of $500USD or minimum 3 nights stays at the hotel.

 

Excellence Riviera Maya:

Day passes required.

 

Excellence Playa Mujeres:

Day passes required

 

Gran Bahia Principe Akumal,
Gran Bahia Principe Tulum,
Gran Bahia Principe Coba:

Impossible for an outside wedding photographer to come in and shoot a wedding, anyway get in touch with your wedding coordinator to see the options you have.

 

Grand Palladium White Sands, 
Grand Palladium Kantenah, 
Grand Palladium Colonial, and
Grand Palladium Riviera Maya

A day pass is required, in some of them a night stay for the wedding photog is needed.

 

Grand Riviera Princess and Grand Sunset Princess:

Day passes required.

 

H10 Ocean Coral and Turquesa

When the bride pushes, a Day pass for the photographer and the photog team is required, otherwise thwy will fight for offer and sell their home photogrpahers

 

Iberostar Paraiso del Mar and 
Iberostar Pariso Lindo:

No vendor fee or night stays is required fot the wedding photographer

 

JW Marriot

A day pass is required.

 

Maroma Resort & Spa:

No Fee, no night stay

 

ME by Melia Cancun & Beach Palace: A day pass is required for the wedding photographer.

 

Mahekal

No outside vendor fee or daypass.

 

Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort Cancun A 2 night stays are required, some USA travel agencies will say that an outside vendor is not allowed, after a lot of research USA agencies and Mexican resort  administrative personeel are not coordinated in this point, lots of wedding photographers come in and shoot wedding with the 2 night stays.

 

Now Jade A day pass is needed to let outside vendors come into the private property

 

Occidental Grand Xcaret: Day passes required.

 

Privilage AluxesNo outside vendor fee or day pass is required.

 

RIU Palace Riviera Maya and other Riu palace las Americas, Riu Palace Mexico

$100 fee per wedding photographer or assistant

 

Royal Playa Del Carmen and The Royal Cancun:

$100 fee per photographer

 

Grand Porto Real Playa del Carmen and Grand Caribe Real Cancun

A $1000 outside vendor fee is charge to the Bride and Groom in order to let the photographer come in and cover a wedding, the fee is per photographer.

 

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera CancunDay passes required.

 

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort &Spa:If the bride and Groom push hard a wedding photographer and the team may come and shoot the wedding.

 

Wicky’s Restaurant & Beach Club

No fee or outside vendor fee

 

Zama Beach

No outside vendor fee or day pass is required.
