Why do an underwater trash the dress? consider this
Not Trash but washed
As the name means the dress is actually not trashed, besides It is usually washed, specially when underwater in a fresh water, cristal clear cenote water – Cenotes are sinkholes of an underground rivers systems in the Yucatan Peninsula, here in this area there is not rivers or lagoon – at the end your dress will look a way better than after your big day.
What can be the worst is that you caught some fishes on you’re wedding dress it is like a net for them, but not big deal, we check for it and take them out :)
Does Make up makes a difference?
As I always say, it depends on how you feel yourself, If you feel confortable, go ahead and make up but make sure the make up is water proof or it will be washed in some minutes after you sumerge your head into the water, but if you want to look the best, at the end a good make up can make a huge difference, go for a great make up If you can
So why to do a Trash the dress If we are doing the wedding portraits?
After a couple of hundred of weddings, yes around 800+ weddings, I can say, in general brides are stressed, time is tied, all is a rush, things delay – not saying photographer fault – bride doesn’t want to get a single strain on the dress and get it dirty or mother or father or who ever. So any day after or trash the dress will work better beside nice portraits we can get a lot of crazy, different, dare, risk – but still safe to alive – shoots, remember the camera is a mirror and photography si how people feel about what they are doing.
Can we go to the best locations?
Yes of course, but there is something I have to say here, each head is a whole world, no one will know or understand what a photographer see just and maybe just after client see the photography, you are hiring an artist a photographer as a person and with a unique point of view, let him look for what may suit better on his vision, but of course both can work together in the best locations, for example I interest in my client swimming and dive skills this way I have a better idea were to go, in the underwater context.
It is not really expensive!
A good photographer and artists must look for a professional advice, many photographers just copy others prices, This is the easiest but harmful for you, for example there are 1500USD and 7,000USD cameras and 900USD and 6,000USD housing for use those cameras underwater – also some 500USD plastic bags, there are 350USD and up to 2,000USD a single underwater led lamp. We all know the photo is not made by equipment but better equipment may help in some situations, remember a photographer can do great things with less expensive equipment but can do better with more expensive equipment but talent is not affected by any and no Photoshop can’t do it all, maybe Photoshop professionals knows.
