FAQ

What equipment do I use?
The cameras I work with are Canon 1D mark III, 5 Mark II, 1D mark and 30D as a backup. Lenses, I have some  but my favorites are the 15mm 2.8 fisheyes, 50mm 1.2, 16-35mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8 and 70-200mm 2.8, all from Canon. I use Canon 580 EX flashes and a Canon ST-E2 with pocket wizard to fire them.
How do you light your images?
I try to use natural light whenever possible, but when natural light isn’t enough or I what to get different look I use off-camera flash fired wireless.
Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?. I shoot entirely in RAW, just in case the result is not the one I was trying to get.
Do you edit the pictures?
I organized images into categories like Getting Ready session, Ceremony, photo sessions, Reception, Trash the Dress and this is the way I also organized the DVD, I post edit all pictures depending on the look I want and it is basic editing like Color, contrast, change to B&W or effects created by me in Adobe Photoshop, I do advance post editing on the pictures I really think it worth the time and of course if I got paid for.
What kind of album do you offer?
I do design the album sheet, each one of it, so you never have a identical album design than any other bride, the sheets are hard sheets and the cover is printable and I design the from cover and back cover with a picture of the couple, 10 sheets or 20 pages holds around 50 pictures and you can add more sheets/pages to the album if you wish.
Do you need any assistants or second shooters?
Yes I do have one assisted/Second photographer most of the time, anyway I can do a excellent job by myself but  I have either a friend of mine and mi wife as second shooters when I needed or include in my package and I LOVE their work.
Have you had any formal training?
I am self tough photographer, I read and learn every day of my life at my own peace, when I love what I read and learn I “eat it”.
Do you do video?
No but I can recommend some.

Do you charge travel fees in the Rivera Maya?
No, however some hotels may charge additional fees such as Day Pass, request one room night for photographer, outside vendor fee  to allow our photographers access.

Do you travel to other cities?
Yes all around the globe.

I do not have a big wedding so do you have minimum time requirement? Can you do a price off?
I understand some wedding are budgeted limited but unfortunate I cannot go down, the price is really inexpensive, accurate calculated  and due to the high cost of the equipment and the wide quality I offer it is impossible to go down in price and keep the quality for the future and for other brides, I do not want to take that risk exposing  the equipment to the salt  water, sand and cannot then get new equipment or change to best equipment as I have always been doing, in this environment equipment last less than usual.

Do you provide High Resolution files?
Yes I do, I provide a signed release so that you may make prints on your own. 18 x 12 posters can be made at local labs.

No, There is no branding or marking on the High Resolution files, just in the low resolution.

It usually takes around 8 weeks, but sometime it ma take 2 more weeks depends on the session, when they are ready I upload them on my website and then I send the DVD to your home address.

Do we get a chance to meet you before the wedding?
Yes but consider that dDue to high volume of shooting I may not be able to meet some of you prior to the weddings. more than 95% of my clients book me without meeting me prior to their wedding day. However we can do a phone call and I can provide as many references as you need.

Is there a problem on using hotel photographer and videographer?
Most of the videographer are not a problem, just need team work to perform each other our jobs, however a second main photographer is certainly a problem, so I would prefer not to take your wedding, for me the flash and the obstructive way when they want to get a shoot is the reason I cannot work with another photographer, videographers who understand how to be as unobtrusive as possible and work with the photography crew like a TEAM on a mission it is what the videographer need to understand so we can all get an outstanding job.

Do you shoot formals?
Yes, unless we are told otherwise. I spend no more than 20 minutes after the ceremony and photograph immediate families on both bride’s side as well as groom’s side and photograph quick formal groupings.

No, because logistically it is a problem to mail internationally.

No, you have to choose A-la-Carte pricing structure.

No just make sure to check hotel policies for outside vendors, you will have to pay for that. Additionally after 6 hours of photography we will need a meal and hydration for me and my second photographer/assistant.
